How do I cancel my account?

To cancel your account click on the "Home" button at the top of this screen or log in to your Client Portal.
Click the blue "Open Ticket" button that is located midway down your screen.
Select "Billing Department" and type Account Cancellation Request in the subject field.
Please tell us the reason for your cancellation in the text box.
Click the blue "Submit" button at the bottom left of your screen.
A representative will respond to assist with your cancellation.

Note your account must be in good standing to transfer your domain name and website. If you have an outstanding balance, log in to your Client Portal to manually pay the invoices or call 800-303-6029 to provide credit card details. Transfers may incur charges, which will be detailed in your ticket.

As per our Terms of Service, notification
of cancellation must be made in the Client Portal at least 10 days prior to the billing date or your subscription will automatically renew and you authorize us to collect the monthly service fee.

Please be aware of the following considerations to make before canceling each of the services you subscribe to:

Domain Registration:

We will no longer automatically renew your domain upon expiration. If you wish to keep using that domain name, you will need to transfer it to another registrar. This involves five steps:

  1. Log in to your Client Portal and submit a support ticket to transfer your domain.
  2. We will respond by unlocking your domain and providing an authorization code. This can also be called an EPP code.
  3. Contact your new registrar and provide the authorization code. They may also have other steps/actions you need to complete.
  4. The new registrar will send Dentist Identity a message asking us to authorize the transfer. We will immediately do so.
  5. Your new registrar may require your authorization as well. Be sure to check your email box and respond.

*NOTE: when you transfer registrars, your domain is locked for 60 days and cannot be transferred again during that period.

Domain transfers are billed at $25 per name.

If you do not transfer your domain before it expires, you will be subject to a substantial redemption fee or loss of control of your domain.

Website Hosting:

Domain name registration and website hosting are two distinct services. Transferring your domain does not automatically transfer your hosting and vice versa. You may have your domain registered with the same company or a different company than that which hosts your website.

All Dentist Identity customers who have paid in full for their website own their content and design 100%. Only Responsive Design Websites can be moved to another host. If you wish to do so, we will prepare your site and provide the necessary information and files. As per our Terms of Service, this is subject to a $499 fee.

If you wish to scrape content from your existing site, you must do so before canceling.

Your site will be taken down on the same day that you cancel.

Your Patient Education Video subscription will be canceled as well.

Email Hosting:

Your email boxes and all of their contents will be deleted.

If you wish to migrate your boxes or forward/save any messages, you must do so before canceling.

Marketing Services:

Will be canceled immediately.
